would you tell them to snap out of it? be normal again? do you think that would be a good approach?
A person with agoraphobia can’t just snap out of it, and be normal again. It takes counseling and probably medication to get these people back on track.

I am 34 weeks gone and have suddenly been getting what I think are anxiety attacks. My heart starts pouding and my breathing becomes shallow, I feel tearful and nervous but don’t know why – they come at any time and I’ve never had anything like this before. My blood pressure has also gone up (only to a normal level – it’s usually on the low side) is this normal?
i had the same thing happend to me around 5months pregnant and onwards.Alot of people i know have had the same thing so ild say its pretty normal.Mine were more like panic attacks, all you have to remember is that it will pass so when it happens sit down and concentrate on your breathing.I used to feel really dizzy and faint aswel but it did pass, and i dont think it harms the baby but mention it to your midwife at ur next appointment.i know its scary but jus remember to relax, goodluck in the rest of the pregnancy chick!

Am planning to apple to medical school at oxford or cambridge in december but i am suffering from quite bad social anxiety disorder. I never speak unless sum1 talks 2 me and am really anxious in class and around people . I need to start more extra curricular activites, volunterring, work experience etc but my social anxiety makes this so difficult. What should I do ?
Try to force yourself to think about it so much, like think about something else..try talking to yourself, and tell yourself "you can do it" over and over inside your head..and try to make overcoming your fears one of your goals. Just think about this whats the worst thing that could happen if your put yourself out there, not everyone will always like you, but so what who cares about everyone, and if anything happens people are usually so worried about there own problems they forget about others..You can do it I believe in you..Remember u only live once u mind as well make the best of it, dont have anything like anxeity take over your life you gotta to be stronger then that and just think positive, and if you start thinking alot about one thing try to just shut yourself, you just gotta to force yourself and challenge yourself..I hope this helps, now this should work, but if you want the easy way out I guess you can go on some anti-anxiety pills, but u have to kno they dont fix the problem if anythin theyll add a new problem since all pills come with side effects/

My fiance is terrified of spiders and airplanes. He’s not scared of arachnids… just spiders so, it’s not arachnophobia.. and he’s not scared of heights.. just planes.
So, what are the names of these two phobias?
I found this to be VERY interesting and useful, and I’m sure you will find the specific answer here. http://www.phobialist.com/

I am confused when I read about panic attacks being bad, and exercises being good for us. Heart rate is up for both.
Heart rate for panic attacks is faster then exercising. I’ve felt a persons heart beat during a panic attack its much much higher then exercise. Thats why its bad. Also your body goes into survival mode during panic attacks which doesn’t help the situation.
